Cooley, 22 Bishopsgate, London

Client: Cooley's LLP

Project Value: £250k +

Duration: 6 months

Main Contractor: Overbury

Architect/Designer: John Robertson Architects

Global law firm Cooley’s new London HQ at 22 Bishopsgate comprises 7,100m2 of office space, located on floors 22 to 24 of this 62-storey tower.

EPC was responsible for installing a poured resin terrazzo on level 24 for this fit-out project led by Overbury. This involved 350m2 split into the two bespoke colours using the following materials:

  • Light grey resin / polar white chippings / zinc shavings
  • Dark grey resin / polar white chippings / blue coal / plate glass

We used a European resin with various Terroxy chippings imported from the USA. The installation was made on top of a Giffa floor system using a cross-bonded 18 mm Knauf cementitious board. This system allows movements to mirror the movement joints in the sub floor, providing a seamless finish throughout.

We also carried out works to the main feature staircase that spans three floors. Here we installed bespoke resin precast treads with a downstand and metal inserts, plus poured resin landings.
