Cohen Quad, Exeter College, Oxford is a major new development on the site of the original Ruskin College. The complex contains an auditorium, seminar rooms, offices, 140 student bedrooms, accommodation for college staff, musical performance rooms, a café, a library and an archive.
EPC was proud to contribute a wide range of high-quality work to this extension of Exeter College’s facilities, working over an area of approximately 2000m2. This included:
- Screed & UFH works completed to all floor areas
- Basement circulation area & level 00 entrance / circulation Areas. We installed various depths of screed and underfloor heating underneath our stone and other finishes.
- Stone floor tiling – 500/600 x random x 20mm limestone
- Wall Cladding – 600/900 x 150,275,350 x 20mm limestone. All wall cladding was set out by EPC using the random heights of stone to ensure all tiles finished full (no cuts) and followed throughout the entirety of the building.
This project also required us to work on a feature staircase, hanging room and lecture hall. These were all surveyed and bespoke materials were cut offsite to achieve the desired set out.
