Covington & Burling LLP is an American multinational law firm. From its London HQ at 22 Bishopsgate, over 120 fee-earners offer a wide range of legal services and expertise to many different industries.
EPC played a major role in fitting out the company’s London offices, with key work including the following:
- Installing 1700m2 of free issued white marble parallelogram tiles. Sizes varied across the floor to align with all columns and large border tiles. All horizontal joints were aligned with the mullions/columns.
- Supplying over 50 detailed CAD drawings to familiarise all other trades with our floor set out and ensure our floor aligned with the features of the building (columns/window mullions). Each piece of stone was numbered and installed in a designated place, ensuring each stone blended perfectly.
- Installing 230m2 of wall hung stone (Picasso Noir). All wall joints were open joint and aligned with the floor joints.
- Visiting a stone quarry in Italy to ensure the stone was fit for purpose and packaged correctly.
We also re-designed our standard substrate build-up to meet the strict weight limitations while also maintaining the flexibility and strength required.
